Position Summary

• Support Small Group rate adequacy, with strong execution of semiannual new business rate review and monthly renewal block checks
• Collaborate and build influence with market leadership, sales, and underwriting business partners
• Ideate and evaluate strategic initiatives that balance membership and margin objectives
• Identify and implement process improvements in the current business process
• Mentor and develop junior staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree along with 3+ years of relevant healthcare and actuarial experience
• Prior actuarial exams passed (or ASA)
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel skills, able to turn data into understandable and compelling exhibits/stories.
• Strong analytic skills and attention to detail, including ability to manipulate and summarize data and natural curiosity to dig into the "why."
• Adept at creative problem solving and decision making, using multiple data sources to assess and develop business strategies.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to ask questions and take initiative.
• Customer-focused mindset and willingness to address concerns of regulators and business/enterprise partners.
• Creativity and intellectual curiosity to navigate the dynamic level-funding competitive environment

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
