Schools Insurance Group is a JPA that works with 31 public education agencies across five counties - Placer, Nevada, Sacramento, Yuba, and El Dorado. Our diverse membership has a unique culture which provides rewarding opportunities to make a difference in many different ways. Members participate in our Employee Benefits, Workers Compensation, and Property/Liability programs to receive comprehensive coverage, risk management support, and health/wellness guidance.
Company History
Schools Insurance Group was established in 1978 as a public entity Joint Powers Authority (JPA) serving public educational agencies in Placer and Nevada Counties. Since that time, we have expanded into neighboring counties, serving 31 agencies. SIG started as a self-insured Workers Compensation group, added Employee Benefits, and then Property/Liability programs.
